Sinai-Grace Emergency Medicine Residency

Founded in 1981, our program has a long tradition of training exceptional Emergency Medicine physicians. As the only hospital in Northwest Detroit, our residents see and do it all.

Why Sinai-Grace?

Detroit and the midwest are home to many fine Emergency Medicine residency programs. What makes Sinai-Grace stand out?

Independence

Sinai-Grace Emergency Medicine residents run the department, including everything from trauma codes to pediatric resuscitations. We take care of anything that walks through the door.

Education

We have dedicated faculty with decades of experience. Teaching is emphasized on every shift, with experts in Toxicology, Ultrasound, EMS, Sports Medicine, and more.

Exposure

As the only hospital in Northwest Detroit, Sinai-Grace residents simultaneously care for a population with many medical co-morbidities while also seeing a high volume of penetrating trauma.

Family

Our residency has a strongly established culture of support and friendship that extends outside the department. Whether you come from near or far, you will have a new family in Detroit.

We have a thoughtfully crafted curriculum intentionally created to develop skilled Emergency Medicine physicians. While the main focus is education in the department, our curriculum is complimented by experiences in critical care, trauma, anesthesiology, toxicology, OB, sports medicine, and more in addition to elective time.

Sinai-grace emergency medicine residency had its beginnings in 1981, providing our graduates with a strong alumni network across the country.
